One time the dog shook while I was doing the face I like reached over to get some thing and the dog shook and some of the shampoo got in my eye and it burns so badly I don’t know if I feel comfortable putting this on my dogs faces now.  It whitens just fine but I wouldn’t use it around the eyes.
